Roaring Chinese New Year Celebration

There was an unmistakable festive air lingering around Blossom as everyone was geared up to celebrate Chinese New Year!  Teachers and children alike, came clad in their oriental best and added colour and flair to the occasion.

The programme for the day kicked off with a storytelling session on the origins of Chinese New Year by Liu Lao Shi.

GuLaoShiThen, Gu Lao Shi introduced a mini lion head, scrolls with good luck inscriptions, and of course mandarin oranges and everything else to do with Chinese New Year celebrations.

And what’s Chinese New Year without the ever popular new year songs! Blossom came alive as everyone joined in the chorus which was accompanied by an impromptu lion dance by our Nursery 1 children!  Lets zoom in on all the fun we had!
