It was yet another momentous and remarkable graduation concert as Blossom Edugroup celebrated its 11th annual concert at a new venue, NTUC Auditorium on 1 Dec 2012. With the theme, “Back to the Oldies”, Blossom Aspiration, Blossom Berrykidz and Blossom Discovery Centre collaboratively made this concert truly a notable and successful event.
The event kicked off with an item by the K2 Chinese Speech and Drama Class from Blossom Discovery Centre. This geared the audience to anticipate more riveting presentations. Next, was a line dance performance from the graduating class of Blossom Berrykidz to a country music favourite “Achy Breaky Heart’.
Meanwhile, the spectators were whisked back to the Rock ‘n’ Roll era as legendary songs like ‘Let’s Twist Again, are performed by N1 and N2 from Blossom Berrykidz, ‘We go together from Grease” and “Round the Clock” by N2 and K2 respectively from Blossom Discovery. The children showcased their upbeat and groovy dance moves on the stage and were greeted with awe and applause from their proud parents.
A lively and energetic performance by K1 and K2 from Blossom Aspiration fascinated the crowd as they sang the popular Beatles’ hit, “I want to hold your hand”. Creating rhythmic beats as they played percussions made of recycled materials. Another popular song craze “O-bla-di, O-bla-da” had the audience mesmerised by the N2 from Blossom Aspiration as they showed off their jaunty movements.
Taking centre stage were the N1 and N2 children from Blossom Berrykidz entertaining the audience with their adorable dance number, “Singing in the Rain” while holding cute little umbrellas. The concert’s highlight was a sheer touching performance of K1 and K2 Chinese Speech and Drama from Blossom Berrykidz as they filled the auditorium with their exquisite voices and expressive dance movements.
The presentation ended with laughter and delight as all the children and teachers from all 3 centres came together for the grand finale song, “Celebration”. It was after all a joyful celebration of life, love and great memories from the past. The success of this event will not be possible without the sheer determination and collective effort by the teachers and children. This concert is indeed a momentous event to be cherished for a lifetime. Thank you once again and we will see you next year!
