Our annual graduation concert came as a grand finale to yet another eventful school term for 2008! This time, with a change in venue, the Kendang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) auditorium. It was a fresh change in time to welcome a fresh new year!
The children can vouch for the new experiences they gained from performing at a new venue, especially some of the children who were also our first time performers! Each concert item was painstakingly choreographed under the watchful eyes of the teachers-in-charge and of course, performed with grace and perfection by our brilliant children.
During the 3 months of practices and rehearsals, the children really bonded and helped one another along as they learnt new dance steps and complimented one another on costumes, dance and speech and drama skills.
This was especially evident with the former K2 children as they were a close knit group of friends enjoying their last few days together as classmates, many of them as pioneers of Blossom! One must agree then, that our theme for this year’s concert could not have been more aptly titled, ‘Friends make the world go round’!
Our adorable Nursery 1 children are naturals on stage, despite being first time performers! Kudos to their bravery and great showmanship!
The stage came alive with an explosion of vibrant colours as the children from the Chinese Speech & Drama class acted as insects, butterflies and flowers to depict a famous story, ‘3 Butterflies’ .
An upbeat Bollywood dance by the oh so talented K2 girls drew loud whistles from the audience!
A grand finale!
The audience couldn’t help moving along to the infectious beat of Bollywood song and dance.
