Our graduation concert for 2009 took place on the 5 Dec 2009.
After months of preparation and practice it was time for our children to display their talents before an eager audience. The teachers and children made their way to the K. K. Hospital auditorium with excitement and anticipation.
The event was kicked off with an opening address by our Principal, Mr. Lawrence Lim, followed by the graduation ceremony.
Soon it was time for the much awaited concert segment of the programme. The theme for this concert was “It’s a Small World”. Backstage, the excitement reached a fever pitch.
The programme began with an energetic Bollywood dance set to toe-tapping music. The sight of the girls and boys in Indian costumes took everyone’s breath away.
Little talents from the Nursery 1 and Playgroup classes hosted a fashion parade depicting costumes from countries around the world. It was really wonderful to see the colourful costumes of all the children! Everyone was in awe seeing the confidence and poise with which they walked on the stage.
The children from Nursery 2 class danced to the tune of a popular Malay song. Don’t they look simply adorable in the traditional Malay outfits? An international dance followed the Malay dance, performed by the graduating class. It was a delight to watch them dance gracefully, highlighting their impeccable coordination.
The wonderful evening filled with music and dance culminated in an action song titled “It’s a Small World”. The children and teachers put a lot of effort in this event and were rewarded with positive feedback from the parents. Thank you parents, for your presence and valuable feedback!
