In line with our Term 2’s Thematic Learning sub-theme on ‘Plants’, the children of Kindergarten 1 and 2 were treated to a 1 hour guided tour on the ‘Fruits and Vegetables Trail’ at the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden at Singapore Botanic Gardens on the 22 Apr 2009.

This informative educational tour opens the minds of our young children to the importance of fruits and vegetables in our daily life and where they really come from. During the walk along the trail, we learnt to recognise and name the different types of fruits, vegetables and plants in the garden.

The best part was when we were given chocolates as treats from the tour guide, after learning all about the cocoa plant and the uses of its fruit! Yummy!
