In conjunction with our March Holiday theme, “I Care, It’s all about You”, we organised a trip to a place resembling the old Kampong days back in the sixties, called “Pasir Ris Kid’s Kampong”.

Our children, parents and teachers had a close and personal encounter with some farm animals, pets, koi and “long-kang” fishes like guppies and mollies. All who participated had so much fun and excitement especially the children who had their fair share of the catch of the day, using their small nets and plastic buckets.

The K1 children are competing among themselves to see who has the biggest catch of the day!

“Hey, look here! I’ve caught some fish in my net!”

At the Koi fish pool, the guide explains to the children that in order to feed the Koi fish, they have to stretch their hands forward with their palms open.

In a feeding frenzy, the children braved themselves as the fishes started “kissing” their hands.

All the good fun and excitement will have to come to an end but the whole experience in Kid’s Kampong was truly memorable for all who have participated.

We may look exhausted but the thought of revisiting this place will definitely bring back smiles!
