This June holiday, Blossom revisited classic children’s fairytales and folklore. One particular highlight of the holiday programme included a trip down to the Singapore Arts Museum for an art workshop.
The K1 & K2 children had the opportunity to see how storybooks were printed in the good old days, way before colour printing was introduced!
They tried their hands on the wood and lino printing and had great fun making ink prints of different scenes from the story of the Gingerbread Man, which we later compiled to make our very own class Gingerbread Man booklet!
The children also enjoyed listening to all time favourites such as The Gingerbread Man, Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, Cinderella and lots more!
They were engaged in an array of activities related to the various stories including role-playing and story-telling!
Three Little Pigs
Emily and Glenda (K1) are making ice-cream stick puppets of the three little pigs.
“And the wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down!”, narrates Hui Si (K1), as she re-enacts the story of The Three Little Pigs in Mandarin, using her hand made model of the 3 little pigs’ houses.
Goldilock and the Three Bears
These are the ingredients used to prepare the porridge for the Bear Family!
